The Kua Body team has been so grateful for all the love and support we have received this past year, and we are excited to take this momentum and spread more joy and wellbeing into the new year!

We asked our team to share what they are most excited about for the new 2018 year. Below are their heartfelt positive mottos for this year.

We hope you feel inspired!

UPUIA, Founder / Owner, Kua Body Studios, Est. 2014

As I reflect on the first three years with Kua Body, my two biggest accomplishments and hurdles as a new entrepreneur were:

Making the decision and commitment to open up my Pleasanton and Los Altos studios – Established 2014.

Making it to my Third year in business – this was not an easy feat but we soared through it!

I’m Optimistic, Excited, Focused, Determined and Ready to take on 2018! We have so much positive MOMENTUM supporting us in both locations that the opportunities are endless.

What’s the Secret Sauce for Kua Body?

#1 – Vision
#2 – People
#3 – Passion
#4 – Process
#5 – Product
#6 – Perseverance

I invite you all to join us for another 3+ years as Kua Body takes on the Bay Area and abroad.

Wishing you all a Momentus 2018!

JENNIFER, LOS ALTOS…

I recently came across this saying which really made me appreciate what I do for a living.

“Ask someone about their passion and observe their facial expression; you will never see them more beautiful than this.”

When someone asks me how I got started in this business I light up and they notice.

This year I look forward to having this experience in all aspects of my life. I look forward to traveling more, reinventing my business, and celebrating new chapters in my life.

I am truly excited about this year and graciously accept all that comes my way. Good and bad…it is all a blessing, a chance to learn, grow, and be more.

ANNETTE, LOS ALTOS…

“Let your heart be light!”

That line stuck with me all through the holiday season. 2017 has been a year of
a lot of heavy news, and our media culture tends to emphasize the negative.

I am choosing that
invitation from a carol to be my motto for 2018. It inspires me to make paying more attention to
positive news a conscious practice in the new year.

I’ve got the feeling it will be energizing and help
dealing with the more troubling aspects of our reality. I’m excited about it!

BRIANA, PLEASANTON…

AWARENESS

I’m extremely excited about 2018!

I’m looking forward to learning new massage techniques like cupping. The new year always brings more body awareness like eating healthy and exercising. I want to go a little deeper this year.

When you are eating be aware of what foods make you feel good and what foods make you feel bad. When exercising be mindful of what is stiff, hurts, or has limited range of motion. This will help prevent injury from happening.

Stretch roll out and get your massages so you can be the best you can be.

TRACY, LOS ALTOS…

For the 2018 year, I am truly excited and looking forward to investing time on my business, traveling, and spending time with loved ones.

I am excited to devote my time and energy to assist others who are in need, be open minded, keep my body in good health and appreciate the people who have supported me through my journey.

My positive motto for the new 2018 year is

“To keep the body in good health is a duty… otherwise we shall not be able to keep our mind strong and clear”

– Buddha

JULIANA, OPERATIONS TEAM

For me the beginning of each year is a reminder to use all I’ve learned from the previous year and to encourage myself to do even better. Each January I get excited about the new and different possibilities coming my way. This year the main three things I am excited about are:

1. Being open and fearless to new challenges in order to grow in my personal and professional life.

2. Being present, and showing appreciation towards the people in my life who are always there for me. Finding new and creative ways to show them I value them.

3. Reading and learning more! Goodbye Netflix, and hello my book pile.

Happy New 2018! May it bring you positivity, clarity and focus in whatever you do!

BRIAN, OPERATIONS TEAM

2018 has some big shoes to fill.

Last year, I reached both personal and professional milestones which has created some serious “momentum” for 2018.

Looking back, my take-aways and strategy for 2018 is very simple, “Do the Reps”.

There are no shortcuts.

Shiny objects are distractions.

For example, I picked up my drum sticks in late 2017, after several years of layoff, and realized the only way to get my “chops” back is to practice. Everyday.

Sure, watching YouTube instructional videos could help for this visual learner, but I still have to invest the time and do the reps. No shortcuts…left, right, left left, right, left, right, right….etc.

Same holds true professionally.

In order to bring massive value to my clients, I have to invest the time. Calls, emails, coffee, dinners, texts…etc. are “reps” and with each, both our relationship and business gets stronger.

HAPPY NEW 2018!
